Nirvana: Big Cheese Meaning
Big Cheese Lyrics
Mine says, go to the office
Big cheese, make me
Mine says, what is it?
Black is black, no trading back
We were enemies
Show you all what a man is
Big lies, make mine
Mine says, go to...

#1 top rated interpretation:Clearly, that kid is a fucking moron who says Cobain's lyrics meant nothing. You will listen to anything he says, eh? He was fuckin depressed and hated himself, you think he's going to go off about how deep is songs are? No, he hated talking about himself. It's a shame that people like that claim to be true Nirvana fans and find bliss in putting other people down for deeply analysing this simple genius. That person is clearly trying to be smart but is pseudo-intelligent; At least musically. Kurt had an amazing ability to see the big picture, most of his songs are about humanity in general, not heroin like you mindless fucking retards believe. I think this song is a big fuck you to authority figures. Maybe his teacher, his parents, his label owner. PLEASE people, don't listen to kurt when he said his lyrics were all garble. He was being modest. Most of his lyrics are blunt and sarcastic feelings he had about the world, but people obviously don't understand art or poetry it seems.

Kurt wrote this song about the conformism, and he was a money victim. Big cheese is money and the things never change.
-
This song was made about the Sub Pop boss Jonathan Poneman. Basically Nirvana's feelings about the time there, and not much else. And no, it's not about cheese. Big cheese is similar with "big shot" etc.
-
How idiotic do you have to be to claim this song is literally about cheese?

Cobain wrote this deep song to demonstrate his uncanny ability to take the smallest things of everyday life - like cheese - and use them as a basis to write banal, lame and meaningless tripe which spurted forth from his diseased brain like pus from an infected pimple.
He once said that he thought all of his songs should be burned, but that he kept writing such garbage because his fans, who were all inbred idiots with the IQ of a dead fish, would buy anything that he wrote. He said that he often sneered at them as he deposited his money in the bank.
