    It's amazing how stupid people are when really thinks that Kurt is praising Jesus by singing a Lead Belly cover song. First because this isn't the only cover of lead belly and secondly because Kurt was at the pick of his sarcarsm at the time he played it. He's always made fun out of god and human stupidity in believing in religions as the simple and poor explanation of the complex things.
    He may have had a christian childhood, but it didn't take a long time for him to realize the bullshit and limited mind that religions mean.
