Plain White T's: Rhythm of Love Meaning
Song Released: 2010
Rhythm of Love Lyrics
She begs me to come down
Says, "Boy, quit foolin' around"
I told her, "I love the view from up here
Warm sun and wind in my ear
We'll watch the world from above
As it turns to the rhythm of love"
We may...

My interpretation is fairly similar to most everyone's. He's obviously high in the first set of lyrics. But look to where he says "We may only have tonight.". That's stuck out to me more than anything. I believe he's referring to a one night stand of sorts (or perhaps a really bad hallucination). They can't be together or perhaps it has something to do with the drugs, I'm not quite sure there. But, despite their limited time, they "sway to the rhythm of love" anyway.

1 verse- means he is playing around then when the girl says boy quit fooling around means stop doing what you are doing and spend time with me then the boy says why go when we can watch the world together :)
coruse- means we may only have this time but until tomorrow (the next time) you are all mine and i will love you :)
2 verse- means well the boy is describing how he feels whenever the girl and him are together he is also describing how she is so beautiful and pretty and i guess he just thinks they have such complete great harmony together :)
(when the moon is low part)- means well its pretty self-explainatory when the moon is low we will dance in slow motion and all your bad thoughts and sadness will wash away and there will be no more crying :)
3 verse- means when the boy is gone the girl will miss him and be empty but still have to be carrying on with her life (?) but the boy will miss her and he will always remember her and the love they had :)
(last part)- they are having a flash back and they will remember that they always swayed to the rhythm of their love :)))) -
Hes pretty much saying hes high in the first paragraph and starts to sing. Shes saying you quit foolin around if you want to be with me , and that they only have tonight , to pretty much "make love " .
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
He's high on both the feeling of love and how she makes everything so natural, as if they're just "swaying to the rhythm of love." As anon has mentioned above, the first paragraph may suggest that he's having sex. I absolutely agree, but my interpretation was closer to "making love."
