Queensrÿche: Silent Lucidity Meaning
Silent Lucidity Lyrics
Wipe away the teardrop from your eye
You're lying safe in bed
It was all a bad dream spinning in your head
Your mind tricked you to feel the pain
Of someone close to you leaving the game of life
So here it is another...

My interpretation is that God is our real father who will never abandon us no matter what we have done wrong in our lives cus he has and always will love us,and protect us from this world and dreams, he is our real father!
-
I think its a beautiful song. And it will be played at my funeral. So my grandkids will know .I will be watching them. Peace to all

The lyrics in this song confirm, my belief in reincarnation. Animals play a big part of a Child's life, adult lives as well. When a loved one dies & there is no one else to listen animals listen and are faithful companions, they listen in silence.
A sudden death of a loved one is a tragic experience, if one believes in & truly loves God, He will allow the spirit to return in the form of an animal, to comfort the one who truly loved the deceased. A dream is something different, it is your subconscience playing tricks on you. The song may be referring to a dream, but for me, the dream is over.
There is no greater love, then God's love. Thank you for reading, God Bless -
Written by Queensrÿche guitarist Chris DeGarmo (who left the band in 1998), this is a song that deals with a person having a lucid dream. A lucid dream happens when you are aware that you are dreaming, and can control parts of it. SONGFACTS. SFL. Condolence, Mister.

This is a song about lucid dreaming. The father teaches his child that dreams are actually a doorway to another reality which we can control. The child has just awoken from a dream where someone close to them died, so the father teaches him/her that with control, our mind will no longer trick us. "Your mind trick you to feel the pain of someone close to you living the game of life". It was just a dream and I can teach you to prevent this from happening in the future.

Nobody explains "if you persist in your efforts, we will achieve mind control"

I always felt it was about someone who passed and they are letting thier loved one know they are still with them, spiritually. Maybe all the lyrics don't fit this scenario but the song came out when I was 4 months pregnant with my second child an their dad had passed away. So as it fit to my life, it was a comfort to think he was still there unseen, unheard, smiling next to me. In silent lucidity...

I've always said I would like to have this play at my funeral. You can see me in your dreams and you can feel me there too.when one is unconscious, basically asleep in a deep dream state they can feel the other side.I believe the others who have passed on visit us in our dreams. And this is why I dedicate this song to my friends and family when I pass to my forever Home, with Jesus.

I have always loved this song. I personally believe that a loved one has passed and that spirit is trying to comfort their loved one. I relate this song to my own life. I was a pregnant teen mom when my child's father died. After he died I had numerous dreams in which he was Very much alive
e. They seemed so real .They didn't stop till after months of this I took control of my dream and had to tell him he was dead. It was probably really my way of just letting go of all the emptiness I felt inside. I'd still like to think though at times his son had needed him he has been their spiritually since his physical life was taken so soon. -
I always thought it was a dr and patient relationship in a psychiatric situation.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
It's about your Guardian Angel, there with you constantly, through life and death.
-
It's about a father trying to help his son change his nightmares into dreams that are not scary.
-
Yes you are right, March 23
-
Both Geoff and Chris had read a book: "Creative Dreaming" that is sort of a how to guide of Lucid Dreaming.
The father in the song is letting his scared child know that he can control his dreams through this technique.
