Rage Against the Machine: Bullet in the Head Meaning
Song Released: 1993
Bullet in the Head Lyrics
A yellow ribbon instead of a swastika
Nothin' proper about ya propaganda
Fools follow the rules when the set commands ya
They said it was blue
When the boold was red
That's is how you got a bullet...

Although I have NOT read this meaning anywhere online lol I take this one to be about the Cold War. Another bs war that had no reason just to keep us afraid and our eyes averted. The lie you believed...from the President, government, or any such is the bullet in your head. We're wounded already so we don't pay the next deception much attention. Like the twin towers and pentagon. I'm not sure what is right but I couldn't agree more with RAM. We should all be mad as hell.

This song comepletely emphasises the fact that America is quick to turn the media against us. Buy this, fight against the (insert group here) and just be a flock of brainwashed sheep. He is telling to stop and make our own decisions.

They say Jump you say how high!!!!! this is a well placed line in this Rage song this is very much true for many People who watch the right wing conservative BS known as "FOX NEWS" who will do anything in the name of god even if they have to resort to killing for oil. This song is mostly about how the media brain washes the american people into thinking that war is the only option in times of crisis.

This song is about the government's sick and twisted use of the media to promote WAR. Zach put it best: "Fight the war...f*** the norm!" That is exactly what this song is speaking of. It's letting us all know that we are being subliminally and, at times, blatantly raped of our free minds that, without the graphic images we see and hear, would otherwise not be in support of a system who cares about only one culture. (Like Zach says in "Take the power back.")
We fight wars for oil so we can drive SUV's and support the American trucking, rail, and airline industries. We put "bullets in the heads" of our American forces because our government is far too ignorant to introduce alternative fuels to the nation. We must support the industries and companies that support our politicians, for we cannot afford to lose these business interests. It's a sad, sick story...but, in my mind, one thatbbears much truth.
Get off of your couch. Get outdoors! Appreciate the natural occurences and wonders of this earth. Subject your mind to God, or nature, or self...or whatever you believe in. Just DO NOT continue to be influenced by this mind-controlling, media-madmonster we call "entertainment". That is what Zach is telling us. We are better than them! Don't let your "big brother" continue kicking your ass! It's time to take action. It's time for change. It's time for a revolution!
I would like to personally thank the Bush Regime for being such outright idiots. Without the stupidity and mediocrity of your "axis", I would not feel so strongly on the issue. RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE!
