Rascal Flatts: Yes I Do Meaning
Yes I Do Lyrics
do I long to hold you tight?
do I wake, wanting you?
yes I do
do i recall, everyday,
how you took my breath away?
do I remember loving you?
yes I do
yes I do dream of all we had together
guess it's true we...

Actually I disagree with the two interpretations above. I think that this song is saying that these two people absolutely loved eachother, but something happened that made them part ways. The guy/girl singing, it could be either, realize that it is over. They have come to terms with the fact that its completely over, and that its dead. They know it will never come back either. But in this song they are saying that they wish they didnt dream about all that they had together and that even though they know that its over, they still pray. Because a part of them really wishes that it will come back. BUT they know it never will. Just because something wont happen doesnt always mean that you wont wish that it could. It reminds me of my ex and I. Because we both know we cant be together. But I know that we both still wish from time to time that we could have eachother back. But that isnt gonna happen.

Boy loses girl. Boy realises how amazing she is. Only thing is that he's too late. It's about a guy who doesn't realise how good he has it until it's all over and his one and only chance has slipped right through his fingers.

This is about a guy who recently broke up with his girlfriend and when reminscing about their life together, he realizes what he lost and wonders if he'll ever give it back. He knows it probably won't come back and decides to move on but still wonders what could have been between him and this girl if they had stuck it out a little longer.
