The Zephyr Song Lyrics
Just a piece of leg to bite on
What a night to fly my kite on
Do you want to flash your light on
Take a look its on display - for you
Coming down no not today
Did you meet your fortune teller

#1 top rated interpretation:Ok, well the main theories of the meaning of this song are both "Drugs" and "Romance" and I think it is a combination of the both.
I think it is about introducing a girl to drugs, (Pick it up its not to strong - for you) and showing her the world in which he lives in everyday. Then, while high, she experiences what he experiences and "flies on his wing" or "flies away on his zephyr" and together they just escape into a peaceful, drug induced world. -

#2 top rated interpretation:I have another interpretation, to me it sounds like Anthony's talking about the surf. Remember, these guys grew up in the 70s and 80s, he's talking about flying on his Zephyr Surfboard. That explains 'the perfect weather' and the 'find a place together'. However, I am not disagreeing with the other interpretations.

#3 top rated interpretation:How about the 1970 Zephyr skateboard team, the Z-boys? Considering they were the first real pioneers of skateboarding, using their experience and their love for surfing, and thereby creating the now typical Californian lifestyle. The lyrics really make sense that way, especially "find a way to be a skater"

I think he's telling is that we never die. Our body does but the one in there reading this that just said (Rockstar) yeah that prat of you never dies. It's 11/6/2023 everyone is aware of how the powers that be has to put stuff in our faces to not get the bad karma.but if you don't sorry buy its time to wake up your late and will be soon left behind .praise YAHWEH the creator

He's definitely talking about smoking some really great bud with his girl but first he had to cook her out of the house and on the back of his Zephyr because they get it off with no propeller get it like they're flying down the road and they're flying high at the same time and they're both in a state of euphoria as they're cruising their motorcycle Zephyr down the highway. He identifies and says he can feel the whole world passing by and that's much to do with someone who likes riding motorcycles. Just my take. It is love though.

It's about being overwhelm in love, that every time you think about it you can bring yourself in another world or dimension ,it states how powerful love is both emotionally and psychologically.

OK Ding Dongs -
The song is about the Zephyr Ride at Disneyland. If you haven't seen it - look the ride up at Disney's website.
you guys look waaaaay to much into things. -
I think he's saying about sharks our dolphins and the struggles they go through with all the unwanted Taurus in the water on the California coastline
-
Its about Hitler escaping on a lz129 zephyr blimp to antarctica (Agartha) after wwll...

Has nobody considered the zephyr motorcycle, a classic late 90's muscle bike. Rev it up, fly away, aviator etc. Getting chick on the back of his zephyr and taking off into the sunset. That was my first thought.
-
A queef is also known as a Zephyr. Could be a discreet joke. Just sayin.

I'm looking at naming my car Zephyr, but first am looking up to see if anybody in the know has referred to it as about sex, rather than various aeronautical craft or other vehicle. Light breeze probably suites if I buy a fit.
First let's break this down:
"hand to write on" holding
"piece of leg to bite on" penis oral.
"fly my kite on" using penis, or erotic.
"want to flash your light on" get on.
"Take a look it's on display - for you
Coming down". Available, maybe another position to suite the Zephyr lines.
The next bit seems personal.
"No, not today" not coming down. To hazard a guess "no propeller" refers to no penis, and fortune teller might refer to a myth about lesbian love. You get the rest.
The next bit sounds like drugs, but it could be sex.
"Pick it up" penis.
"If not too strong for you" Manliness.
"Take a piece", oral.
"And pass it on", let me go free.
"Fly away on my zephyr" Penis.
"I feel it more than ever" feeling it.
"And in this perfect weather" erotically bliss.
"We'll find a place together" union.
"Fly on my wind", eroticism or penis.
"Rebel and a liberator
Find a way to be a skater" act in sex involving penis, he is the rebel that liberates her.
"Rev it up to levitate her
Super friendly aviator" sex, woman on top, or just ecstasy.
"In the water where I center my emotion
All the world can pass me by" the well of bliss, love or ecstasy.
"whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa - do you
(Yeah) yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
(Whoa) whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa - want to
(Yeah) yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah"
Guess.
"We're gonna live forever" Bliss.
As a psychedelic song, sex would fit in with the other explanation.
It's incredible I have not found this as a possible explanation yet. It would be good if the band could confirm what it is about, because it means it would be one of the greatest sublimely erotic songs of all time. They been playing it on radio lately, and it is truely a great song, and much better than what the Beatles psychedelic period, which says a lot.
As a novice.

Jeff Ho Zephyr surfboards Santa Monica-Venice 'The Cove'
very desirable surfboards, vintage even better. I'm sure Anthony Kiedis has one and probably rides. Don't know.
"In the water where I center my emotion" what else could this possibly mean? Clearly a song about surfing. You other people are nutters. -
Try looking up the zephyr plane and get back to me.

The song is just about a guy relaxing his mind with some kind of drug and wondering how would it be getting a possible ride on the wind in a beatiful night, going up and stay there for a little while just enjoy all the view from above...Great song though...
-
Or is it about the California zephyr? The amtrak train which launched in 1949? Hank Williams wrote a great song about this. Fly away on my zephyr in this perfect weather etc we will find a place together(to sit on the train). Just shows you can write anything and it gets interpreted in all sorts of ways.
-
This song is about the west winds, blowing the waves he rode on his Zephyr Surfboard. also the Z-boys, a skateboarding team from southern california, watch dogtown and the z-boys. a couple of their songs are in it
