This story is based loosely on a story Serj has either heard or made himself, it could be fact, but he revealed it backstage at a concert in 2010 to a few VIP fans who asked about Lie Lie Lie, it's about a couple, who are madly in love, married, the lot, then the man finds out that this girl, the love of his life, is his younger sister hence;"Cause Im your brother, your brother,Have some pride, And now you love me, you love me, Then die tonight"

So, due to them feeling so disgusted with themselves they decide to commit suicide together, to rid the world of their sins, however, the man decided to push his wife/sister of the cliff, rather than jump with her, and he lived on, hence; "Broke her little bones, on the boulders below"

My source of this is my friend was one of these VIP Fans, who told me that story which he heard right out of the mouth of the man behind the lyrics.

I think the bother/lover lied to the sister/girlfriend about being related, and later on he convinced her to do suicide with him, when they on the edge the girl jumps off but the boy stays smiling and singing "la la la lie lie lie" the girl hears the tone until she hit the boulders below and passes away, the boy tries to walk away but falls down the cliff as well joining his sister lover as shown in the music video.

This isn't an interpretation so much as a question but I hope it still counts. The accompanying video is really intriguing. After the sister's death there's something going on with a blue-haired doppelganger seemingly from hell following her and then interacting with her face-to-face. Near the end of the video it replays the death scene where the brother tosses his sister-lover off the cliff, she falls into the water again but this time a giantess version of the blue-haired woman walks up to her, and scoops her up. She prances away with the sister, while the brother falls down off the cliff and clearly breaks his body on the rocks below. I came here hoping to get an interpretation on this but was disappointed. I'm really interested in this part, it's an almost hopeful ending for her. I wonder what it was all about.

I believe the 'lie lie lie' parts are saying that he lied about them being siblings, and then convinced her to commit suicide.

So the message behind this, in my view, is that the bond between family is the strongest bond one can have with people. So "she" jumps off a cliff, right? So she, I presume is a lover I.e wife. But but "when she fell I smiled". So he doesn't really feel sorrow from her suicide. But he commits suicide with his sister since "I'm your brother... have some pride". The family are portrayed to be proud of eachother. He smiles at his wife falling and breaking her bones. She has lied to him, so it's almost as though Serj is giving the message that karma comes around to those who lie.
That's my personal view on these lyrics, so I could have completely misinterpreted the meaning behind these lyrics. Regardless, the song is great and I've recently purchased Elect The Dead (the album which this song features on) and it was definitely worth it. He's a brilliant musician!

It's obviously about incest and suicide.

    My interpretation goes like this:
This song is about a man who continually rapes his 5-8 year old sister, convincing her to never tell their parents. After a particularly horrific rape session, the sister cracks and tells on her rapist. He escapes barely, taking his sister with him. He runs to a cliff, where he and his sister used to hang out. He and his sibling stand on the edge, his sister frightened of what her brother has become. He convinces her to jump off with him, saying death is better than what lies ahead. So, she lets go of his hand, and he shoves her off, singing an old lullaby he sang to her after she passed out during rape. The authorities find him dead, impaling himself on a rock.

Well it's clear he convinces his "girlfriend?" to jump off a cliff, and it sounds like he made it out to be that he was going to, but obviously he doesn't jump. So the only ambiguous thing is why he didn't, personally i think it's because she did something, or maybe he's just an asshole, who knows?

This song is about love, incest and lying. I think this is because the story is all about a wizard falling in love with a girl. She don't love him back. He casts a spell on the girl

Later on he finds out that the girl he loves is his sister and he cant break the spell unless he/she dies so he convinced her to jump off a cliff with him. He didn't jump while she did and watched her die there for it is a lie.
