The super-hero comic books have it all wrong. There's no such thing as a master criminal. You have to be dumb as mud to turn to a life of crime in the first place. But in case the adventurous life of the outlaw holds some appeal yet, these are the songs that make a good soundtrack to being on the lam.

Some of them are outlaw's laments, some of them tell folksy ballads of bumbling partners in crime, and some of them put up a front of desperado posturing, romanticizing the criminal as an outcast striking back at The Man.
