Make This Go On Forever Lyrics

Please don't let this turn into something it's not
I can only give you everything I've got
I can't be as sorry as you think I should
But I still love you more than anyone else could

All that I keep thinking throughout this whole flight
Is...

He is a mess. His world is shattered from the very begining but his love for this girl was the one thing he was ever connected to. She was his only hope and his relation to her seemed to build the broken pieces of his damned life. But sometimes things happen with irreverent obscenity and there's nothing you can do to help it .He did an unforgivable mistake or everything around him kept haunting him, hurting the last person he ever wanted to. She could’nt forgive him and wanted to stay away for both their sakes. She told him to look past everything. They have been through many ups and downs before. So he is wondering why she cant just ignore it and move on. He is reminding her that she is the one and only, the last girl of all time, the weight of everything around him even water that is the lightest thing is feeling heavy because she ever learned to him was love. He wanted them to Go On Forever which reflects the title “Make this Go On Forever” . He knows that what he did was wrong and his words broke and melt. He knows he cant hold on by himself it wont last for long. He just kept asking her to please save him from this Darkness, save him from this darkness.

I think this song is about someone ( man or woman ) leaving their significant other for reasons that are fleeting now. They know they love each other but what the other person did was "the last straw".

The person who left now wants them back and their significant other loves them but needs time apart.

This song to me is about the pain of knowing you were wrong, realizing the mistake you have made, but knowing it is too late and you have potentially lost the most important person of your life.

This song crushes my soul every time I listen to it.

I think it's about a couple that break up and while there broke up the guy goes with another girl. When they try to get back together he tells the girl and she cant accept it and gets mad, and the guy dosnt feel he's made a mistake and his pride stops him from comforting her. he dosnt feel its a big deal but he still loves her. But she's very hurt and wants him to feel somthing about it so they argue over it. And the guy starts to relise the it could take a life time to rebuild the trust that was lost and that he was wrong to have been so cold. Then he starts to think about the better times with the girl he still loves. When she wants time apart, he knows he's lost her and hes alone (the light from her is gone) so he's left with darkness. The only person he feels can save him from it is her, but cant bring himself to say anything, because he feels guilty and dosnt want to hurt her anymore.

    I think its about drowning.
he is singing about his time with this girl coming to an end and he realises that he actually loves her but by then its too late because they are both drowning it might not necessarily be literal drowning but maybe drowning in something metaphorically speaking so their relationship is coming to an end but hes just realised how much he loves her and he thinks she loves him too. the weight of water could be feelings or grief or actual water but every song means different things to each person and i always think of them literally drowning like Rose and Jack in titanic and he wants to be saved from the darkness of his grief ot the darkness at the bottom of the ocean.
Its an amazing song either way:)

i think its about realising he loves that particular girl
their relationship has come to an end because one of them is moving somewhere
he realises shes the one and he is remembering their first and last kiss
they could have been happy together at least for that time but he was blind
he was allways rejecting her in a way but they were always together somehow
they were some kind of friends with benefits but they allways had an unresolved relationship but it didnt matter back then
now the things are different because they might not see each other for a long time

thats my interpretation of every single song, sorry my bad

All of the last post is it. Though, I think he comes to the conclusion that what he did was so wrong that he knows things are over. He is sort of lying to himself by being upset with her for not forgiving him, but in the end admits that all he wants is to be free from the pain "please just save me from this darkness". It's about a really broken cry for help, not redemption.

It's about a guy saying how sorry he is, and how he's done something bad and he knows what he's done is wrong *This splintered mast I'm holding on won't save me long* And that he doesn't want anything bad to come of it, and not to be blown out of proportion *please don't let this turn into something its not* And when they sing *the first kiss and the first time that I felt connected to anything" is sorta saying he still loves the girl.
Its quite I sad song really when you actually listen to the lyrics
