I can only interpret this as someone who currently has an addiction to alcohol and is struggling in college because of it. My interpretation of this song is me being able to drink responsibility or just quit all together.

This song is about me , after my up and downs of my life . The drugs , when I knew not what to do , knowing I did not want to get high . Then realizing the best for me was to get away . Finding peace , by myself. But wanting to go back home . I miss it . Maybe tomorrow I’ll go back .
