Stevie Wonder: Overjoyed Meaning
Song Released: 2007
Featuring: Jennifer Hudson
Overjoyed Lyrics
Just for two, though you never knew you were my reason
I've gone much too far for you now to say
That I've got to throw my castle away
Over dreams, I have picked out a perfect come...

#1 top rated interpretation:I believe the song to represent someone who fell in love with a person who was not ready to love him in return. He was initially overjoyed, and over loved that person, and now he is over loving her with the belief that there is a true love that still exist if given a chance. Wonderful lyrics and tune...

#2 top rated interpretation:My interpretation of Overjoyed is that one person is "overjoyed" to have found their true love while the other person is not so sure. He is pleading for her to feel the same way about him that he feels about her.

#3 top rated interpretation:It is God talking to us, expressing His utmost love for his ultimate creation. God so much desires a personal relationship with us. He's waiting for us to come to Him.

Interpretation. It's about a man who has a special friendship with someone. He developed feelings and is overjoyed. He feels he found true love. He is hoping she feels what he is feeling. For her to feel overjoyed like him.
The man you love is already married for 20 years. Find someone who is not committed/married/in a relationship. Definitely, I concur with the interpreter views about love.

I sent it to a man I fell in love with 20 years ago—however he is married. He told me he loved and one day we would be together—a possibility. Alas we are not as he is still married to woman he clearly boast that he doesn’t want—I was overjoyed when I met him, over loved as years went by—waiting for him—but now I’m over him (over you)!
Do not wait for someone to love you! They either do or they don’t! Actions speak louder than words! -
Overjoyed for yourself that you know love regardless if anyone else understands or feels the same. It's about many kinds of love and dreams.

This song reminds me of the intriguing story of Edward Leedskalnin, who built and re-built mysterious Coral Castle in Homestead, Florida.
Leedskalnin was a Latvian immigrant who constructed the mystical site in response to being spurned in a love quest early in his life. "Over time I've been building my castle of love..." --- those lyrics sound very similar to what Leedskalnin was try to accomplish in building the enigmatic structure. -
The best heartbreak song ever!
But we must trust God for everything...
To me its clear that this man had plans for the love he found and now the plans are ruined.
-the castle of love has to be thrown away.
-the sandman has to come back another day.
Yet he has searched to discover...
-the love he sought could never be mine (his)
HOLD FAST TO DREAMS...DREAMS DO COME TRUE!

I think it’s about someone’s finding their true love which at first the person was not so sure whether it’s being reciprocated or not. But in the end, the person is feeling overjoyed because the other person is actually feeling the same thing. Or the meaning is pretty easy to get:
its about someone with dreams of finding their true love and they actually find that love and is pleading for that one you love to have those same "overjoyed" feelings towards you Or When you are your soulmate's soulmate. That 1 in a...........-

person in love with someone who cant understand the dept of love the person has for them..but he is.;;;;;;;;;;;;;..s still hoping for that love to be reciprotated

My interpretation? I don't think this song needs interpretation it's all there in the lyrics and the way he sings it. He's overjoyed with the love he feels for this person and is sharing his love for them in this song.
