Stone Sour: Through Glass Meaning
Song Released: 2006
Through Glass Lyrics
Don't know how much time has passed
Oh God it feels like forever
But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head
How do you feel, that is the question
But I...

To be honest it seems as if he is putting two points together. One of which being the recovered alcoholic he is and messing his life with his family the other is being a pawn for Hollywood.

I don't believe it's about Hollywood. I think he's looking at someone (perhaps a girl who he used to know) in a picture frame "through the glass". The relationship they used to have somehow went wrong and he's questioning which parts of it were real and if she ever really felt anything for him and vice versa. Her soul, to him, now only exists in little notes she wrote to him and pictures and memories.

Wow, you're way off. This isn't about Hollywood. Its a man overcoming either a drug addiction or alcoholism. "through glass" refers to the way he is seeing the world, through intoxicated eyes. So it's "glassy" and probably foggy, so he isn't sure about things clearly, so he isn't sure of the time.

I know what the video interpret this song as. The whole fakes in Hollywood thing, and I can heard that story. However, the first time I heard this song, I was listening to a story about a guy in a closed room under observation. Someone that had gone over the edge of insanity and was hearing voices from the sky. Ok, I know it is corny, but it was the first time I heard it, and maybe I was a little hard of hearing at the time and didn't quite get all the words. But isn't an original story about insanity way cooler than a over used story about Hollywood?

lol Ok, So one day I was laying on my couch praying for forgiveness to Jesus........This song came on, I was a major meth head. Came to terms with myself and addiction. All I know is all songs effect everyone differently no matter how they are wrote. Thats why so many albums sell. Second If I had to "Interpret" I'd say for me I was looking through glass for the "Salvation" that I desired. I believe Corey has been there too. I believe why the stars lie to you Cause we lie to ourselves in thinking we can change so easily or without true help..... "True" Meaning our Pre Requisite to salvation!!!!!!!!!!!

i think it is about being in jail or prison...but only with a woman who wants him to be something he's not. What he thought was that this woman was great in the beginning but she wants to change him but he doesn't have the heart or guts to tell her that he's not going to change and keeps giving her false hope. He's in his own little jail caught between a want for this woman to accept him or a need to get away from her without hurting her feelings.

this song is about everyone being fake in hollywood and the whole music business telling everyone who they should be and how to be.... otherwise they won't accept them into their world... He's saying that he's been sucked into it and is now realizing that he can't just be who he is, that is why he says he doesn't know how much time has passed. now he's sitting all alone inside his head thinking about how it's all happened fast. maybe he's alone because his ego took over and all the real people in his life are sick of him....?

I really think it's about a guy in a prison and he is talking to his girlfreind or something because you know how you have visits and you talk to them through a glass?
"And while your outside looking in
Describing what you see
Remember what your staring at is me"
and he is counting the years but he really doesn't know for sure.
