Too Much Time on My Hands Lyrics

The entire "Paradise Theater" album was a reflection on the decline of the United States in the Seventies. This particular song was about one of the symptoms of American decline: unemployment.
The narrator of the song is an unemployed blue collar male who has long since given up any hope of finding a job.He spends his days at the neighborhood bars with other downtrodden, unemployed guys like himself, getting drunk and talking nonsense.
