Well... It was originally by Bob Marley... But there's so many recovers and recovers of the song... It gets hard to try and find the origional when people are saying otherwise... But it's really is talking about a guy smoking pot... And his parents are trying to get him off to work but a man tought him how to do both but I don't understand the part where it says "but first take care of head." I thing he is meaning other things if you catch my drift
-
Yeah definitely originally done by the Toyes not Sublime or Bob Marley...douche mcbaggers
-
It's actually a cover of a song that a reggae band called The Toyes made. The Toyes also did a remake of "Monster Mash" called "Monster Hash".

You're an idiot, have you ever heard the song smoke two joints by Bob Marley... It's the same song. So good job calling everyone here idiots
-
You're all idiots this song was an original song by sublime bradley made up that it was originally done by marley but you if liked sublime or marley you would know that
-
I agree with all above, the song title originated from Marley, but at the time everyone took off on every artists songs. True though Bradley N. found a way to spend time mentally incapacitated and still make amazing mood-swaying music, that had changed history. BASICALLY, a song about pot smoking (IE pot=Marijuana) D.A.N.
-
This is actually a song covering Bob Marley's "smoke two joints" because Bradley Nowell was a Marley fan. It talks about how his parents told him to work hard and get a job and not do drugs. Then one day he met a friend who taught him he could do both.
-
I agree with whoever wrote this.
