System of a Down: Boom! Meaning
Song Released: 2003
Boom! Lyrics
Where all you money's earning,
Where all your buildings crying,
And clueless neckties working,
Revolving fake lawn houses,
Housing all your fears,
Desensitized by tv,
Overbearing advertising,

This song is about conformity, and greed. The song is about how people conform and how the government pays money to advertise and brainwash people. They get people to fight in wars just to kill other people of their own kind. It is pointless and the wars they fight cost billions of dollars that could be spent on more important things, namely world starvation. They fight people to kill them and as they kill them the money they spend on that is used wrongly, killing people by starvation.
