Mind Lyrics

oh baby come close to me
let me love you
oh baby come close to me
let me feel you

Look at each other, Look at each other, Look at each other, Look at each other.

Go away, Go away, Go away, Go away.......

Well now mutually, mentally...

    This song is mostly about the world and how things work when serj sings the first part "look at each other, go away"
    Thats just the moody stupidness of man kind. In the second part when serj sings "mutually, mentally molested children of a mother. Mutually mentally molested children of sin" He means that people are MENTALLY molested in other words brainwashed. Like how when children all over the world get raised to beleive in whatever there Family and society believes in. This is mutual to because the family went through the same thing.that is only one example. after that serj says " the ever so popular beating that took you under, the ever so popular beating that broke your skin" This is just when a person gets sick of all the influences that took him under, the same influence made him break out of the brainwash. Anyway when he says "Free thinkers are dangerous. Blame, hate, for fates seed" I believe he is just mocking the government.The government that brain washes people to blame and hate free thinkers for what fate already had planned out.then the next verse is about loving the ones you need obviously but then you still love the ones that hurt you because you need them. Like people that love there country need there country, even though the country can sometimes hurt them. In many different ways, like war,economy and so on. Its just saying that you stay with someone or something because you need it. The last part is tricky, I think it is meaning the rebellious part of each generation, and at the very end when he says "look at each other" again he means the cycle is starting over with a new generation.

    I believe this song is about mind manipulation and propaganda, How we are born without prejudice and have innocient curiosity for each other. But then we are manipulated into believing what we see in other people is evil and those people are different then us, we are all manipulated this way, on both sides , to hate and despise each other. And we are all in fact very similar if we knew each other, but we mustn't know, for if we did, the fear, which is the drive to be obedient, will be relinquished. And those who wish to control us will lose their power. They use their propaganda to make us believe that to be curious is evil, this pits us not only against those who we are told are different, but also among our own society. The more we are taught, and the less we understand, the more fear we have, and from this fear we have the more potential we have to give up our free will. This system is secure because it destroys anything that threatens it. That is what I believe this song might be about, the system of control.

    I think it’s talking about bad parents basically. Mutually, mentally molested kids of a mother/sin. Which births the seeds of hate within them, causing them to lash out saying go away! “Oh the ever so popular beating that took you under/broke your skin” destroying your mind and body at the same time. Blame hate for fates seed, blame the hate they were given for the fate that seed has become. Die, die, die gonna let your mother fuckers die!!! This could also be an abusive relationship of any form really. Destroying one’s mind in the process of creating hate within them.

    When I first heard this song, I thought about how mothers force religion onto their kids. "Mutually mentally molested children of a Mothers." Then also how it mentions "free thinkers are dangerous." It made me think of how mothers feel that way now a days in society and try to do anything they can to keep their kids religious and keep them from thinking for themselves.

    I think that this song is about a child and their mother that hate each other. in the beginning when Serj says look at each other, then, go away, i think that it refers to the child and the mother that can't even look at each other without screaming at the other to go away.
    In the first verse i think it's talking about how the child was abused by it's mother physically, and mentally. when it says the beating that broke your skin, it obviously means a physical beating. and when it says the beating that took you under, i believe it means the beat of a song that intrigued the child, and got them deeply into it.
    In the second verse i think it means that however much the mother and child may hate each other, they still need each other. and their lives have been changed, or rearranged, by the way that they have been living.
    the last part of the song i think is interesting. i couldn't quite find the words that i was thinking, but, i believe that it is talking about how even with all the blame and hate between them, they need to put it all behind them for their seed's sake. their seed being the child's children.

    This is a good song, I mean, at first I thought it was long and aimless, but it's pretty good. It was featured in the film "BOOK OF SHADOWS: BLAIR WITCH 2", and it shares the meaning with "Spiders":

    "Mind control technology has been used by the CIA since the 1950s as part of their non-lethal, covert weapons program."

    So this song is about mind control, and the CIA's procedure in exploiting it.
