The Byrds - Triad Meaning

Triad Lyrics
Me and her, or you and me
You both stand there, your long hair flowing
Your eyes alive, your mind still growing
Saying to me what can we do now that we both love you
I love you too
And I don't really see
Why can't...

This song was written by David Crosby, who was very much into sexual threesomes. This song reflects Crosby's fantasy: of getting not only to sleep with two women at once, but to live with two women at once.
After Frosby first left the Byrds, he told reporters that this song was the reason. He alleged that Roger McGuinn was too Christian and too square to stand for such an immoral song. McGuinn always denied that, and eventually, Crosby admitted he'd made that story up.
