The Cranberries: Animal Instinct Meaning
Song Released: 1999
Animal Instinct Lyrics
-
The video transmits the message of a Mother saving her children from "Children support", moved by her instinct, because the social services madeira her cry, madeira her die, when they took her children away. That's how I understood. But the song without the video is so much more.. it can be about someone you love, but you losted because of the animal instinct as sexual instinct, you're too sexual or you're betrayed, and so on.. It's whatever you imagine that Will work for you. It's a great song!
-
Judging by the video, it's really about a mother's instinct. But the song itself often makes me think it's about a sexual drive. The heroine is attracted to somebody who makes her unhappy ("Do you know you make me cry?"), but she still can't get him out of her head because her love is like an animal instinct - and it's "a lovely thing".
-
It seems about a mother's instinct according to the clip.
