    This song refers to a girl that Nick Thomas actually imagined in high school due to his schizophrenia. His worried friends and family tried to convince him she wasn't real but obviously it's pretty hard to accept that your significant other is only a figment of your imagination. Eventually he starts to realize she isn't real after seeing a psychiatrist. Basically he's singing about his struggles with coming to terms with his mental illness.
