The Spill Canvas: Self Conclusion Meaning
Self Conclusion Lyrics
Start the Scene
Enter beautiful girl
But thing are not what they seem
As we stand at the edge of the world
Excuse me sir
But I have plans to die tonight
Oh and you are directly in my way
And I bet your gonna say it's not...

Two strangers ironically meet at a cliff/bridge on the same day for the same purpose, which is to commit suicide. They speak, telling each other of their plans, but instead of trying to talk her out of it, he tells her that he understands. They realize "we don't need to die. We can live together." But even deeper than that, this song is about struggling to find yourself and really know who you are. Struggling to live. Wanting to die, but keeping on. Living with the voice inside your head that tells you to end it. "see the trick is that you're never supposed to act on it, no matter how unbearable this misery gets." I don't know if this is true or not, but my brother told me that the singer married this woman.

it is about contemplating suicide, but it goes a lot deeper than that. it's about love and its so beautiful. they meet at the cliff and after he changes his mind about committing suicide. after saying that she wanted to die, he falls for her, hence why he said he wanted to get to know her more. all in all, they end up together. how do i know? because i read in between the lines.

This song has a deeper meaning than just two strangers on a cliff.. it shows that no matter what you're going through, someone is probably going through the same thing. Talking about your problems HELPS, and you should never do drastic things.

Its about suicide...two stangers (a male and female) meet on a cliff, the males just re-thought his suicide, the female is still standing, the male then understands what shes going through in her mind.
The male offers his helping, advice and wants to show her after his rethink, she takes up his offer but says if he hurts her she'll jump.
