The White Stripes: In The Cold, Cold Night Meaning
In The Cold, Cold Night Lyrics
On the edge of a buring light
I saw you standing in the corner
Come to me again in the cold cold night
In the cold cold night

A girl being molested by her father the confusion of love hate fear and guilt associated with it. U make me feel a little older like a grown woman should, I see u walking by my front door I hear the creaking of the kitchen floor. It is a eerie song that represents the young girls point of view on the confusion of everything loving hating even sometimes feeling pleasure and the guilt for feeling it even tho it's a coping mechanism for children.

whats with the GLUE THING??? skin tunring into glue is really creepy.
-
I think the girl is having an affair with a vampire.

ok so i'm i've listened to tjis song like a million times and my interpretation is that she singing as a young girl yearning for an older man...she doesn't care care if it's wrong...and she believes he yearns for her too
-
I believe it's about our great lord coming back like a thief in the night...
-
Just another song about falling in love.
She needs her love to hold her and keep her warm in the cold night.
And the guy may not be the most desireable guy around for whatever reasons which is why she doesn't care whatall the other people say.
