Zoot Suit Lyrics
-
During the '60's /' 70's in England there existed two rival factions, the "Mods" and the "Rockers" - the Rockers wore leather and chains, grew long hair and drove on motorcycle Choppers like in Easy Rider; the Mods drove scooters like Vespa with loads of mirrors attached for show, their hair was short (they evolved into "Skinheads") and they dressed in smart attire, no flared trousers like the Rockers but smart "Zoot" suits... then the mobs would deliberately meet up at Southern English seaside resorts (eg Brighton as in "Quadrophenia") and fight each other - the Good Ol' Days
