Tonight Alive: To Die For Meaning
Song Released: 2011
To Die For Lyrics
She's to die for,
A little murder on the dance floor calls her name
A little further to his heart she holds the flame
She is still so unsure, she always leaves him wanting more
You let me down but I can't let this go now
(time to turn...

Jenna is seeing a girl who is dressed "to kill", suggesting she is going to break hearts in the dance floor. She's also seeing a boy who is encapsulated by this girl, but she doesn't even notice him because she's too busy having a good time. Jenna can see that the boy likes this girl a lot, and can also see that the girl is just stringing him along. To her it's just a dance.

Have you ever gone stag to a dance and seen an incredibly attractive person across the dance floor that catches your attention and then infatuates your mind? That's what "To Die For" is about - a boy that sees an attractive girl he really likes at a dance. But he doesn't just see her and lust for her - there's a connection: "So do we dare to take this dance, coz I'm willing to take the chance." It's obvious that the boy feels something for her (i.e. "heart-shaped box waiting to be filled") but she is still unsure. As these sorts of things seem to naturally pan out, she leaves him wanting more, begging and praying for her attention. Unfortunately, she gets too focused on dancing to recognize his feelings for her. The fact that she is "dressed to kill" implies that she is so incredibly attractive that more than one guy has become infatuated with her and all of them are left wanting more (she kills their desires). And the phrase that he is "to die for" suggests that he is a great guy - handsome, well-mannered personality, and just an all around decent guy. But although she has left many other guys wanting, this time it could be different: "Tonight could be the night baby, just take my hand, I swear we'll make it right." This time, maybe she feels something too.
