Well this song is about the music industry of sorts. But that doesn't mean it can't be about someone else **coughthefanscough**. But the music industry does seem to suck your "life" away making you care about money and making albums instead of making music. But interpretation about the fans could mean how fans "suck up" all of the things Tool does, such as having every album and T-Shirt or something of that matter.
