Tyler the Creator: Puppet Meaning
Song Released: 2019
Puppet Lyrics
I wanna talk, I wanna call you and talk
I wanna walk to your front door and knock
After I start my vehicle, drive to your city 'cause we live an hour apart
Land at your driveway and put it in park
Then do the third line of this...

This song touches on being mentally and physically stuck to someone who doesn't love you.The entire story of IGOR, the album this song is on, is about a love triangle between Tyler ( IGOR ) and a boy whom he has love for, but the boy loves a girl. My story can also be backed up by the song NEW MAGIC WAND, where Tyler frequently mentions a girl he heeds to " get out of the picture, " as shown in the line " She's really f_cking up my frame." This song has Tyler questioning if hes really his own person or if he's too attached to the anonymous boy in the story, shown by the verse " I am starting to wonder, is this my free will or yours?"

this song reminds me of how you’re trying to let go of someone , but you can’t because you’re so attached. you did everything with them. and in the end it didn’t work. but you’re so attached you need them every second of your life.

I see this as Tyler being so deeply in love with this person, that he's willing to do any and everything to make them feel better, for them to acknowledge him, for them to love him.
