Tyler the Creator: Yonkers Meaning
Song Released: 2011
Yonkers Lyrics
I'm a fuckin' walkin' paradox, no I'm not
Threesomes with a fuckin' triceratops, Reptar
Rappin' as I'm mockin' deaf rock stars
Wearin' synthetic wigs made of Anwar's dreadlocks
Bedrock, harder than a motherfuckin'...

#1 top rated interpretation:Music is freedom of expression. It's art. These are his thoughts. So I pretty sure this is him saying that he doesn't like what some people would consider music. That's what society considers music and apparently he's disagreeing with it. With society, common life, and little musicians that come out thinking they're the shit. Like Rebecca Black and Justin Beiber, Bruno Marz, B.o.B. and, Hayley williams. Or the meanings behind some songs like most of rap is now associated with money, drugs, females, and other of the little things the hood would praise.

I don't really think Tyler mentioning the eating of the roach in Yonkers had anything to do with Domo. He said that in Domo as a prediction because he knew that he was going to make a lot of money on the Yonkers video. And yes, this song is Tyler arguing with himself. The entire trio of albums he has released (Bastard, Goblin, Wolf) are just that. It's Tyler battling his alter ego, Wolf Haley. The man speaking at the beginning is Dr. TC, who is just Tyler's subconscience. Bastard opens the three albums, but the story of Wolf comes first. (Wolf, Bastard, Goblin). These are all great albums, and Tyler did a great job writing them and telling the story. But yes, this is just Tyler arguing with Wolf. That's all this song is about.
-
the cockroach is from the song Domo 23 it goes like this: "Because I dress bummy, bitch think I'm broke
Bitch, I ate one roach and I made a lot of money" -
Does anyone know the meaning of teh cockroach?

Its a big contridiction: EX: im a fucking walking paradox, then he says no im not. Its a contridiction or Tyler is fighting Wolf Hayley(his alter ego). A prime example is when he says"Green Paper, Gold Teeth and Pregnant Gold Retrevers(thats Wolf Hayley) then Tyler contridicts that and says" Fuck money(the Green Paper) dimonds(The Gold Teeth)and Bitches(Bitches is another word for a Pregnant Dog) dont need em. Wolf needs it and Tyler doesnt. It makes no sense thats why in the start he says im a walking paradox(Paradox=No sense, stuck inbetween two things.)
-
Its one big contradction. Such as:
green paper, gold teeth and golden retrievers all I want. But then he goes on to say fuck money diamonds and bitches dont need em. It's the same thing. -
The song is a contradiction. It goes against itself. Example:Green Paper Gold Teeth and pregnant Gold Retrievers all i want fuck money diamonds and bitches don't need them
-
The lyrics are contradicting. It's pretty obvious...
-
Tyler said it in an interview, it is supposed to be him and Wolf Haley arguing within his mind, therefore you have the lyrics that contradict each other because they both have different views, you can find the video of him explaining it better on youtube
-
This song is a contradiction to itself, for example he says I am an over achiever, so how bout we start a team of leaders. A team of leaders is impossible because only one person could lead. He Also says in the very start I'm a contradiction, no I'm not! It can't be more clear. Also at one point he recommends to his lesbian friend Sid to see his psychiatrist hen the next line complains that he's wasting his time because he's not even good.
-
The song is a contradiction. It goes against itself. Example: Making synthetic wigs out of Anwars dreadlocks.
