I don't think so. I think he hasn't seen this girl (his sister, his neighbor?) in a long time and they used to have fun. Then again, the lyric "making love in the green grass behind the stadium" makes me think whoever this girl is, is his ex - girlfriend.

A wistful song reflecting on youth, innocence, and the first taste of love, albeit puppy love, with his brown eyed girl. Such a feel good song, like many of his others and one of my forever favorites! I've also wondered if the reference to Tuesday could have inspired Lynyrd Skynyrd's, "Tuesday's Gone," as they both suggest the loss of love.

"Brown Eyed Girl" is about love for heroin. In the 1960's, 'girl' referred to drugs that affected the hypothalamus region of the brain. This section of the brain is also excited during sex. 'Brown' is used because heroin came in a brown powder. 'Slippin and slidin' refers to usinig a needle to shoot heroin.
