We The Kings: Check Yes Juliet Meaning
Check Yes Juliet Lyrics
Rain is falling down on the sidewalk
I won't go until you come outside.
Check yes Juliet, kill the limbo,
I'll keep tossing rocks at your window
There's no turning back for us tonight
Lace up your shoes (ay oh...

#1 top rated interpretation:It's a song about a modern day "Romeo & Juliet". The guy wants the girl to run away with him because her parents don't want them to be together . He's telling her never look back, because if you do the parents have a chance to tear them apart.

#2 top rated interpretation:check yes Juliet is like a note do you like me? yes, no, maybe. She is his modern day Juliet. The families hate each other but they listen to their heart

Its about a boy and a girl who are in love the boy wants her to run away from her abusive family and not look back
-
I like to think its about those cliche love stories where she(juliet) is being abused by her controlling parents and hes telling her lets go and not look back. I can even imagine the music video of a drunk dad yelling at her and she climbs down the side of her house and runs away with him, basically Dawson and Joey vibes but with worse parents and them actually being in love lol

it is like romeo and juliet but modern it is like the scene when they were going to run away it is likely what do u think?
-
Personally I think the song is about a psychotic stalker. he kidnapped “juliet” and wants to spend the rest of his life with her because he thinks that she loves him too. he drugged her “3-2-1 fall in my arms now” and drove far away with her. it’s an abstract idea but it doesn’t feel like a love song to me.

I think this song is about two people who love each other who want to run away from all the people who don't want them to be together.
