    This song is about Kennedy.

    This song could be about Jesus. There are the obvious references, like "had him nailed to a chunk of wood," "Governments who would slur his name," etc. And I think he's saying that although the character was a good person, the government decided that he wasn't, and that official leaders always have to ruin everything.
