Yes: I've Seen Good People/Your Move Meaning
Song Released: 1971
I've Seen Good People/Your Move Lyrics
so satisfied I'm on my way.
I've seen all good people turn their heads each day
so satisfied I'm on my way.
Take a straight and stronger course to the corner of your life.
Make the white...

I've always thought "move on back two squares" was also a pun: "move on back to squares", that is, stop just being around hip people but get to know some geeks as well.
-
I remember hearing as a child that the band was driving through a town called "Algood" in Tennesse when they got the idea.
-
Queen is always adjusting to king

I read where Yes wrote lyrics strictly based on tonal quality when matched with the music which also included sophistication of the words used. While I do not know if this is actually true, after writing my own music for years I was met with the shock of realizing the lyrics will find their own synchromysticisms as the music score itself taps in to the universe and all of its magic. So whether or not J. Anderson & the boys meant to, I guarantee you the lyrics do indeed mean something, and much more than a simple game of chess. But duly noted of course the white/black checks of the chess board being a definite indicator of such.

It's about a game of chess

I've seen all good people turn their heads each day
so satisfied I'm on my way.
I've seen all good people turn their heads each day
so satisfied I'm on my way.
Take a straight and stronger course to the corner of your life.
Make the white queen run so fast she hasn't got time to make you wise.
'Cause it's time, is time in time with your time and its news it captured
For the queen to use.
Move me on to any black square,
Use me any time you want,
Just remember that the goal
Is for us all to capture all we want.
Yea, yea, yea.
Don't surround yourself with yourself,
Move on back two squares,
Send an instant comment to me,
Initial it with loving care
Don't surround
Yourself.
'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news is captured
For the queen to use.
Diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit didda.
Diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit Don't surround
Didda. Yourself with yourself.
Don't surround yourself with yourself, Don't surround yourself.

Send an instant comment to me, Send an instant
Initial it with loving care Comment to me. Don't surround Yourself.
'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news is captured

Rock n roll life is fastpaced & crazy (but its time to grow up),Take a straight & strong course to the corner of your life.( Reevaluate our life's purpose) and don't be self satisfied & selfish (shallow), your life should have a better purpose, Life and people are not games to be used (chess ref.)a queen is your partner, now is time to share time with one or those you luv, share your, don't be selfish share your love (Don't surround yourself with yourself). Remember make best of life & time, move on back 2 Squares = reassess your life priorities, your love in life with others is your Karma ( a nod to John Lennon's "Instant Karma", Yes were Beatles admirers and influenced, send an Instant Karma =is asking for same love he gives.(you can hear John Lennon song Instant Karma & Give Peace a Chance in original version in background) Didi didi didi didi didi dada (sending instant Karma like Sending message in Western Union 60's song(By Jay & The Americans Didi didi didi, didi did didi.)
