Chiquitita Lyrics

Chiquitita, tell me what's wrong
You're enchained by your own sorrow
In your eyes there is no hope for tomorrow
How I hate to see you like this
There is no way you can deny it
I can see that you're oh so sad, so quiet

Chiquitita, tell me...

The song is about a young man just 18 who was involved in an accident with another person. It's a true story behind the song. Agnetha was the only member of Abba who met Chiquitita. They met in Canada in December of 1978. The description of the song is very close to what happened when they met. So touched then inspired by this true life drama that Abba wrote chiquitita

i think this song is about a sad friend and Agnetha is trying to cheer this person up. Seems as though she knows this person for in the song she sings chiquitita you and i know how the headraces come and they go and the scars they are leaving. and i hope we can patch it up together.

I think that Chiquitita is a consoling song. It is probably about a older female is talking to a younger one and helping her through a broken heart or a hard time through a relationship

It implies "Least", but literally means smallest or tiny one. It is a term of endearment (from a heart of compassion or empathy). Probably involves someone outside of a normal family, who would be "Most"). Possibly a stranger . . .
