Abba: SOS Meaning
Song Released: 1975
SOS Lyrics
I try to reach for you, but you have closed your mind
Whatever happened to our love?
I wish I understood
It used to be so nice, it used to be so good
So when you're near me, darling can't...

I know exactly what this song is saying, I did this to my first true love, only I did not know it until too late, I never really got over her. I distanced my self emotionally from her and the trauma I caused her I replay in my head every day, this song brings those memories back hard and damning. The song is about a love that is wanting to leave the other but can't find the words so he (or she) closes the other out and eventually, after leaving the home never returns as she (or he) has always feared. A truly sad love song of remorse.

This is about when you're with someone, but it's like they're not there. Like you're trying call out for them, but they're not listening. You're miserable, but they don't seem to care, and you're trying to figure out what you did wrong. One of their best songs in my opinion.
