Abba: Take a Chance on Me Meaning
Take a Chance on Me Lyrics
If you change your mind, I'm the first in line
Honey I'm still free
Take a chance on me
If you need me, let me know, gonna be around
If you've got no place to go, if you're feeling down
If you're all alone when the pretty...

She is suggesting that he take a chance on her - if he isn't busy or if he has changed his mind - so apparently he turned her away already - maybe he isn't interested and/or he is in a relationship. So she says to him if he finds himself alone or the pretty birds have flown - no other pretty girl has taken up with him, that she is available, not going anywhere - so she is very interested and willing to wait it out and she won't rush him. She is sure there is something there - already - but he might not recognize it - reason not mentioned - when she says "I think you know..."
He isn't a total stranger either, or she wouldn't be so forward with "I think you know..." it doesn't appear that she is desperate or insecure but that she thinks it's worth it to speak her mind and put it into his head - and then he will find out if he takes up her offer that she is actually awesome. Nothing wrong with planting a seed. Some take a while to germinate. -
I think it is saying "notice me, love me, i will do anything for you, please?" The singer is begging, desperate for attention.

It's about a woman who is madly in love with a man she can't have. She is basically willing to do anything to be with him. She is trying to persuade him anyway she can to take a chance on her. It talks about when your all alone and the pretty birds have Flown she's still free. This woman does not seem to see the beauty in herself, and that is why he may not see it either.
