AC/DC: Hells Bells Meaning
Song Released: 1980
Hells Bells Lyrics
I'm coming on like a hurricane
My lightning's flashing across the sky
You're only young but you're gonna die
I won't take no prisoners won't spare no lives
Nobody's putting up a...

It's a fact that Bon Socott did do 'most' of the back in black album as it said somewhere and I quote 'The money earnt from the back in black album is sent to the remaining relatives of the scotts' and another thing I also remember reading is on 'you shook me' Brian contributed the first line or so line, being, she was a fast machine, she kept her mother clean. Now...On to hells bells. I believe that the bells may have been added to the song after the passing of Bon to symbolize the funeral, however I also believe that the line Rolling Thunder could symbolize how AC/DC stormed in the progression to the top with highway top hell, therefor maybe carrying on the story with highway to hell? that is just a suggestion

Satan hates you, me,and God.He and a third of the angels in heaven fought and lost a war against God and the rest of the angles.Satan and his angels were cast out of heaven like a lightening bolt.He now lives on earth and wants to drag as many soles to hell with him as he can."He won't spare no prisoners won't spare no lives." He hates you ,"gonna take you to hell."If you don't beleive me, ask god to open your eyes to the truth. He will,he loves you and wants you with him forever.

This isn't anything to do with the song meaning, but I know that the bells at the start of the song were a sort of small tribute for Bon Scott. Also the long intro was a sort of teasing for the listeners, because, remember nobody had heard Brian Johnson's voice before and the exceedingly long intro was teasing the first time listeners :)

There is an interesting story about the actual bell they had flown in to the studio to record the opening with.I will share it later.Actually Bon did contribute slightly to the Back in Black album.I have heard "Have a Drink on Me" originated from a jam with him on drums. It obviously reappeared after his death in finished form with Brian on vocals.

Bon scott didn't write any songs on Back in Black. He had written songs for their next album but died and the songs were scrapped. As for the fact this song was played at his funeral it Was not even written at the time and was recorded months later.

Bon Scott did not write this song nor did he write any other song on the back in black album. Don't be stupid! Now on to hells bells, it has been said in the past that the song was about the Viet Nam war. And there are somethings in the song that would back that up like the opening line ..'im rolling thunder, the pouring rain, I'm coming on like a hurricane'. There was a bombing campaign by the u.S. During the Johnson admin. Called operation rolling thunder. And some of the other lyrics are sort of suggestive of it, but Brian Johnson says he wrote it while in the middle of an actual thunder storm so I suppose that makes more sense.
