Andy Duguid - Don't Belong Meaning

Don't Belong Lyrics
I'm letting go of all i know,
You fade into the light,
I'm letting go of all the pain
I don't remember you,
You fade away into my eyes,
Just, wake me up before you go
I don't remember you,
Are you a stranger...
-
A beautiful woman is narrating her morning after a night of partying, as if to the man she woke up next to:
"You fade in from my eyes" = as she opens her eyes, they slowly focus on the image of him next to her
"I'm letting go of all I know" = she allowed herself to step outside her safe zone
"You fade into the light" = she looks out the window and sees the sun shining beyond the man's head
"I'm letting go of all the pain" = she's moving on from her previous relationship
"I don't remember you" = she had a lot to drink the night prior :)
"You fade away into my eyes" = her eyes go in/out of focus
"Just, wake me up before you go." = she falls back asleep next to him, wishing he will wake her up before leaving
"I don't remember you" = v.s.
"Are you a stranger in disguise?" = is he sincere? was she just taken advantage of?
"Just, wake me up before you go." = v.s.
"I don't belong here..." = she doesn't recognize the place she woke up
etc.
