   I used to think it was about a couple who got together and had a superficial relationship because she was living in the past.
   
   Now after reflection, I think it's about someone living their life with depression and suddenly wake up and look in the mirror (I look in the glass
   And stare at your strained
   Grey, motionless face) and think nah, not doing this. I'm gonna get better I'm going to shift this depression. The person believed they let go of that perfect life (in love with a shadow) and won't get it back. But now they have realised their value in life.
   
   Keeo going, keep fighting it will get better.
   
   Sooner or later
   We all have to wake
   And try forgetting everything
   Underneath there's a perfect sky

   Being in love with someone who is emotionally closed and shut down. Like my boyfriend... It's killing me him being that sort of person and I think it's making it worse for him. Reluctantly, we are heading in opposite directions. =(
