Black Eyed Peas: Meet Me Half Way Meaning
Meet Me Half Way Lyrics
I want you so badly, it's my biggest wish
I spent my time just thinkin thinkin thinkin bout you
every single day yes, i'm really missin' missin' you
and all those things we use to use to use to do
hey girl, wuz...

Some people say this is a sad song, but I don't see it this way.
I'm in a long distance relationship, we see each other every month give or take.
But this time is different, because we'll meet half way, in Greece.
So I send him this song, cause I cannot wait to see him. ❤️

I think this song reminds me of kissing and very personal beauty. It’s very emotional and she singly sings to the tunes. But fergie has the most beautiful voices and very classy woman. She’s the one of most beautiful women wore. My brother doesn’t care about fergie, he’s not interested into pop!

It seems to me that this song is about Borderline Personality Disorder and how confusing/difficult it is for both people in said relationship.

She is trying to get laid

What my opinion is thatabout a woman who is in the Garden of Eden trying to reach her love but she can’t go any further then she already is. The man although is tracing the whole unvirse to try to find her.

Don't really think this song is about a lady and a man; as the video suggests, it's really about the quest for spirituality. She, the physical part, in a garden of Eden, seeks this spirituality but cannot go farther than she already is. He, who is the spiritual part, is even more eager to find her, and will travel any distance to do so. She awaits at the very borderline, keeping watch day and night. Finally, a portal is opened and they both rendezvous, reaching enlightment. It is evident she is yearning for this, as she reaches for the night sky (universe) but is unable to reach it, even though she has put her heart to the limit. He, spiritual, with more means than her, just needs her acknowledgement to set forth in his journey to reunite.

its about woman self-love. its too many time woman gave too much and too many lesson learned. sooner she learns her limit even though he is all she wants.

Aside from the obvious points most people see, I think the video really shows us something the lyrics don't. There are girls who play with men's feelings and manipulate them for self serving reasons, playing the victim and creating the illusion that they've done all they can and that it's the man's responsibility to come to her. Notice one crucial difference between them two in the video. She's calm and waiting in a beautiful place, and he is still fighting and doing all he can. She doesn't look stretched to the limit. Like she did everything she possibly could. This represents an unequal amount of effort and dedication between the two. Her halfway point is actually her doing a minimum and saying it's everything she's got. He on the other hand, binded by love, doesn't see this and goes above and beyond to find her and reach this supposed halfway point no matter what. Long story short, she makes his life hell and says he had to be the one to meet her halfway by bending over backwards while she hardly did anything on her end.
-
in my opinion the song is taken literally but on closer observation the song is meant figuratively. she needs to meet him half way, she wants him badly but has got to the point where she won't give anymore than she already is. It's up to him to step up to the plate and give his bit to making it a mutual interest

I suggest that this song is about a guy and a girl. The guy has been having the girl on his mind for quite a while "I spent my time just thinkin thinkin thinkin bout you
every single day yes, i'm really missin' missin' you
and all those things we use to use to use to do". The girl has her eyes set on meeting up with the man again. She looks for the perfect place to meet him "The Borderline" They meet each other half-way the distance they are at now.
The man is willing to do anything for the girl as long as he gets to see her. Willing to try and do everything for her " will fly, i'll fly the skies, for you and I (for you and I".
