Blind Guardian: Sadly Sings Destiny Meaning
Sadly Sings Destiny Lyrics
Will set up the stage for the cross
I rent a room next door
There is nothing more
No further voices to hear
I'll be free
It doesn't matter anymore that someone's knocking at my door
I've known it long...

"Sadly sings destiny" is a song of the album "A night at the opera", released in the year 2002 by Blind Guardian.
The lyrics talk about the point of view of a human Jesus, who sacrifices itself to "rescue" mankind. He was hardly punished, so the lyrics reflect the about the pain and the doubts the human Jesus, not the sacred one:
"I'm destiny PERSONIFIED
I know there's something more BEHIND
But is it really justified
To sacrifice, to crucify
The rescue of the human kind"
He wants to save humanity, but he doesn't really know about live after death, or "God". Then he becomes crucified, they crucified "the rescue of the human kind". -
Sadly Sings Destiny is off of the album A Night at the Opera. It's based on the Passion and death of Jesus Christ. The song tells the story from the point of view of a roman soldier who reluctantly helps fulfill the prophecy. The man is responsible for helping with the setup and feels like a tool being used. He goes through the process with Jesus and witnesses events such as the crown of thorns and the angry mob.
