    This song is about being in a relationship but not really being in love.Kind of a love hate relationship, where he's at the point where he just wants to get out. He wants to still be friends but she's making it hard "please don't make me hate you". I think it also needs to be said that he feels she doesn't understand him at all. It's a really amazing song
