Song 2 Lyrics
By a jumbo jet
It wasnt easy
But nothing is, no
When I feel heavy metal
And Im pins and Im needles
Well I lie and Im easy
All of the time but Im never sure when I need you
Pleased to meet you
I got my head...

#1 top rated interpretation:Blur wrote this sng to prove that Americans would buy anything, as long as they threw something cool like "woo-hoo" in there... There is no meaning behind it, except for Americans trying to analyze it...

#2 top rated interpretation:*facepalm* IT'S A PARODY OF GRUNGE!!

#3 top rated interpretation:I believe there is no clear meaning in the word lyrics and cud be interpretated in many different ways. On first read they have no meaning, but take a closer look and it cud be thought the song is about drugs or even youth. It's rumored the lyrics were improvised so blur may even know what they're about, but personally I think it's just about having a good old shout and a head bang!!

gerard just being a sass queen. nothing else going on LMAO..
Also, i had no idea this song existed until recently. -
I got my head done when I was young is talking about getting circumcised as boy. Something which he has no problem with.

A guy sticks too a girl and can't figure out why. AND FOR GOODNESS SAKE THE LYRICS ARE NOT PLEASE TO MEET YOU! ITS CAUSE I NEED YOU!
-
I got my head done when I was young is referring to getting a "head change" from drugs also in the chorus he refers to pins and needles and heavy metal, those 2 are both common related to drugs
-
The lyric is actually "When I feel like heavy metal". I don't have time now to actually interpret, since I should be studying sociology. I just wanted to mention that.
