Bon Jovi: Always Meaning
Song Released: 1994
Always Lyrics
But you can't see his blood
It's nothing but some feelings
That this old dog kicked up
It's been raining since you left me
Now I'm drowning in the flood
You see I've always been a fighter
But without you I give...

Personally, I think it's a love song. The guy was in love, basically in a perfect relationship, and then he goes ahead and fucks everything up by cheating.
And the two girls are friends, by the looks of it.
Reminds me of some stupid shit i did. -
I think it's a really bittersweet song of yearning where the man is crazy in love for the woman to the point it hurts but shes had enough of him and he knows this. He knows that he cant have her but still loves her to the death.

this was my boyriend and I's song because we had broken up before and had realized that we weren't completely over eachother. We kind of saw it as a song that is saying even though we might not be together, i will always love you..hence the song title

This song is quite a dark love song in my opinion. In all honesty, it can be seen as an amazing love song, but as Jon said on the TLFR, we as an audience have seen the song in a "glass half full" prospective, we have neglected to see that the guy in the story can't get over a girl who seems to be over him. Jon did however mention this song came from "that dark place he finds himself in sometimes" so maybe the darker theme is more historically correct.

Well, just so its clear Jon Bon Jovi never ever mentioned that it's about a stalker....the song is based on a script for a movie called romeo is bleeding. He says he likes writing songs for movies because the story is already there...
Unfortunately the song never ended up in the movie cause they pulled it back(it was a crappy movie). So watch the movie to get the meaning of the song. CHEERS! -
This song describes a time in my life that really happened. A man and woman that were so in love was ruined when the man got into drugs and started abusing the woman and making her life a living hell. She finally gets the strength to leave him, but leaves with the clothes on her back because she is in fear of her life. She winds up in a battered woman's shelter, gets out and starts a brand new life in another town. He on the other hand, turns to crime to support his drug habit, gets arrested and is doing time for many years. While he is incarcerated, he gets off the drugs and realizes what he has done and what he has lost, yet still does not understand why the woman ran from him and never returned. He finds out the woman moved on, finds a new man and leaves that old life behind.
Now I am not saying that is what this song is about, but it described my situation at that time and it's like the song is telling my story back then. -
This song was written for a movie called "romeo is bleeding" with gary oldman- it was a bad movie so bon jovi retracted it from the movie soundtrack but ultimately as one of the posts above says it is about a stalker and jon thinks its funny how people think of it as a love song
-
I think this song is trying to show that even though men screw up and hurt the women they love they still have feelings eg 'this romeo is bleeding, but you can't see his blood'. Its a really good song with a cool vid. The men in it are sooooo hot. Sarah xxxxx
