    Most people think this song has something to do with the 9/11 attacks but it was written well before the towers fell. Bruce wrote it about Asbury Park where he spent so much of his youth as he formed and re-formed bands. A city that was once a vibrant beach town but slowly fell into ruin.

    He writes protest songs. I think it's about a bomb blowing up a church and this guy is crying because it was everything he lived for.
