Bush: Mouth Meaning
Mouth Lyrics
Made me give
Your silver grin
still sticking it in
You have some machine soul machine
Soul of Machine
The longest kiss
Feeling furniture days
Drift madly to you
Pollute my heart; Drain
You have stolen me
broken...

I agree with the idea that "nothing hurts like your mouth" is referring to verbal abuse. "We can't breathe when you come around" walking on eggshells when verbal abuser is around. I'm not sure about the rest. Trying to find original lyrics to the song.

This song was written for American Werewolf in London or Paris (one of those). "Silver smile" etc...
The part I don't get is "peeling furniture days." What is that? -
It actually is about getting oral sex by a woman with braces.
-
Nothing hurts like your mouth to be sounds like he's describing verbal abuse. The metal armor dragging him down could mean that he never could have anything with this person because of their need to keep themselves guarded. "We can't breathe when you come around" sounds like tip toeing around a volatile person. "We've been missing long before, never found our way home" makes me think the person was a parent or a part of the family, and no one involved finding a way back to things being good again. The song "cold contagious" is another song that has a lot of references to abuse, and how it is contagious.
-
I think they're comparing a woman to doing drugs or possibly just doing drugs. Sounds like smoking a crack pipe because there talking about you're longest kiss and peeling furniture days or daze. Your metal armor drags me down, we can't breathe when you come around. Nothing hurts like your mouth. We've been missing long before, never found our way home. Definitely smoking crack.

Soul Machine taking away their humanity, making them into more then a human, something with "metal armor" being your new skin, and the silver grin being the smile of a wolf before and after a kill, where blood can appear metallic in the dark light. The longest kiss being the bite of the wolf, which lasts "forever"
-
Getting head by a chick with braces
-
Silver grin would mean something like silver tongue. A smile would be worse i would think. soul machine i think is a cold thing to be thinking about. As far as the mouth, well "Nothing hurts like your mouth."
