Yeah it's just an uplifted sing for men. Nothing more, I'm sure Gavin Rosedale wasn't thinking "hmm I should write a song about the male ego to stereotype women" when he wrote it. This song does not stereotype women at all. It's like a girl listening to Stronger by Christina Aguilera LOL
