The Chemicals Between Us Lyrics

I want you to remember
A love so full it could send us all ways
I want you to surrender
All my feelings rose today
And I want you to remain
The power of children can amaze
I'll try not to complain
I know that's a pisser baby

My interpretation of the song is that the song is about an everlasting bond between two lovers in which one is dead. To me the song is very spiritual.

    I want you to remember
A love so full it could send us all ways - the dead lover wants the remaining lover to remember how transcending their love was.
    I want you to surrender
    - dead lover wants remaining lover to surrender to the love that is still felt between them.
    All my feelings rose today
And I want you to remain
The power of children can amaze
    I'll try not to complain
    I know that's a pisser baby
-Dead lover wants lover to remain living life now that she has had a child and knows how amazing and life changing children are. Says he will try not to be jealous or hurt that she has had a child with someone else, he knows deep down she wishes she had a child with him. Hence the child being an annoyance because she is not in love with the father.

    The chemicals between us
    - everlasting love, love is a chemical and I don't believe it just disappears when we pass away.
The walls that lie between us
    - the wall between the physical world and spiritual.
    Lying in this bed
    - is the dead lovers grave.
    The chemicals displaced
    - the physical chemicals of love have now been replaced or have taken on a new form.
    There is no lonelier place
    Than lying in this bed
    - waiting in the spiritual world for his lover to return.

    I want you to remember
    Everything you said
    Every driven word
Like a hammer, held, to my head
    - wants her to remember all the spoken words of love she confessed to him. He is madly in love with her and will never forget.

    The chemicals between us
    There is no lonelier place
    Then lying in this bed
    The chemicals displaced
    There is no lonelier place
    Than lying in this bed

    The chemicals between us
    The chemicals between us
    Lying in this bed

We're of the hollow men - the dead lover is talking about the spiritual realm and no long being a physical entity.
    We are the naked ones
    We never meant you harm
    Never meant you wrong
    - spiritual world can be frightening when u don't understand and can cause some negative things.
    I'd like to thank
All of my lovers, lovers, lovers
    - dead lover is saying he would like to thank his lover's former lovers and their former lovers for all leading the two lovers to each other.

    The chemicals between us
    The army of achievers
    - referring to how when the chemical of love is actually experienced (created)it will never die and will always come to a head.
    Lying in this bed
    The chemicals displaced
    There is no lonelier face
    Than lying in this bed
    - sad dead lover waiting for his remaining lover to return to him.

This is describing the pain that addiction produces when you are in it with the love of your life. You want to stay but it hurts so much and resentments compile, and the only way is out.
