They don't call the top music chart the "Billboard Hot 100" for nothing, you know! These songs will stoke the flames of your burning music passion. Fire, in these songs, may be destruction, or devotion, or rage, or passion. Whatever the form, fire is a powerful metaphor for just about anything.

The discovery of fire, courtesy of Greek titan Prometheus, is one of the distinguishing characteristics of humans. Other animals may use crude tools, build crude structures, or communicate in various ways, but humans, alone, are the beings who cook. When you think about it, we haven't progressed very far since. Most of our electricity and vehicle power still comes from burning fossil fuels. Perhaps we need a new Prometheus to bring us a new gift, and free us from having no recourse but to set things on fire.
