Want U Back Lyrics
Thought I needed to upgrade
So I went and walked away way way
Uh
Now, I see you've been hanging out
With that other girl in town
Looking like a pair of clowns clowns clowns

#1 top rated interpretation:It's about a girl who originally dated a dude because she was bored or something.... And then she got bored of HIM and then boom she dumped him... So sad!
But then, some time later, in a few weeks, days, months, maybe even hours, the dude's now with a new girl who "truly loves him".
As for the girl, she then realizes her mistake, loves him again for REAL, and then feels stupid and wants him back. Unfortunately, I don't think it'll happen (seeing Astro's rap...)
So, here's a lesson to all you people planning to break up with someone: think it through before you burn that bridge down.
Meanwhile, this song is so catchy! I love it~! :D -
2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:I don't really like this song. Mainly what it is about is this girl who broke up with this guy so he would come sobbing back. But instead he went and found someone who truely likes him back and isnt puppeting with him. Now, she is throwng insults at the new girl he is with for no paticular reason" trying to rock those ugly jeans" except that "she has nothing on me" ect. And is whining about how its his fault that she wants him back.
I'm just going to say,
I don't know how this song got on the top 10 itunes single list. It doesn't deserve it's place.
Hope you enjoyed my interpetation!
Yours Truely,

Cher Lloyd’s singing about how she thought she could find a cooler guy (“Boy you never had much game, thought I needed to upgrade, so I went and walked away, way, way”). She broke up with her boyfriend. But then, she saw her ex going everywhere she went with him but now with a new girl (“I see you been hanging out, with that other girl in town, looking like a pair of clowns, clowns, clowns” and “And now you’re taking her to every restaurant, and everywhere we went, come on!”) Cher Lloyd realizes that she wants to be back with her ex, and is jealous of his new girl (“I want you back, I want you back, want want you, want you back”). She sings about how uncool his new girlfriend is (“She ain’t got a thing on me, trying to rock them ugly jeans, jeans, jeans”) and about how her ex-boyfriend will want her back (“You, clearly didn’t think this through, if what I’ve been told is true, you’ll be crawling back like boo, hoo, hoo”). This song’s message isn’t that great, because it’s talking about how the narrator expects her old boyfriend to come right back to her after being dumped for no reason, even though he has a new girl. Also, the narrator acts like the breakup was the boyfriend’s fault when really, she broke up with him without thinking it through and now is jealous and wants him back. Still, this song’s catchy and fun and I love it.

I want to make this song into fun and pop beat and we’re working on that we wrote with Hillary Lindsey and Nathan Chapman. Ben wrote the first two lines and then I go with Hillary Lindsey and I went in the studio and she wrote the bridge and make it more pop. But Hillary is a nice person to be around and we’re friends but me and her are going to make music together.

Songs about jealousy occupy a space of sideline fare to standard love songs and break-up songs.
-
I think the song is very good it had pop, and country, of course, we have some great music video to have fun! But I have been writing this toward the year but it’s same year. I wrote it with her producer, but it reminds me of my memory of my childhood.

Cher breaks up with a guy because he never had much "game". She later sees him with another girl, and they're going every where that Cher and the guy went together. She's getting jealous. She wants him back. She didn't think that he would move on, she thought that he was still hers after she said goodbye.
-
This song is good. It's basically about a girl that regrets dumping her boyfriend because now he has a new chick on his arm.
-
She thought this guy wasn't cool enough for her so she dumps him, then he moves on to a girl trying to rock those ugly jeans (jeans jeans uh) and now she wants him back because he's doing stuff that makes him look even better to her and now he's going to every place they went together
-
She broke up with her boyfriend because he wasnt cool enough for her. And now that he has some other girl, she is mad and wants him back. She thought that he would still want her when she ended it and now she sees that he has found someone else and isnt hung up on her. She wants him back and knows that she messed up when she broke up with him.
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Basically, in this song, she's saying that she broke up with a guy because he wasn't cool enough,(boy you never had much game, thought I needed to upgrade, so I went a walked away.) But then she sees him with a new girl, and realizes she wants him back.
