Shake The Ground Lyrics

You serve it up like I want some,
But I don't want your opinion
You load it up like shotgun,
Pull the trigger,
Don't you love it when you take one out?

Take one out

I won't do what I'm told
I will break you down,
Take you...

Nobody likes to be controlled. In "Shake The Ground," we see that theme prominently displayed - "this is the end of control." The song portrays the singer fighting against someone who seeks to control her. She is persistent and unyielding: "I won't do what I'm told, I will break you down, take you down, shake the ground." She is determined to break free from her controller. This song is about resisting people that try to control your life - whether it be your parents, boss at work, kids at school or an older sibling. Eventually, you have to take back control of your own life.
