Chris Young: Tomorrow Meaning
Tomorrow Lyrics
Tomorrow I'm gonna leave here
I'm gonna let you go and walk away
Like every day I said I would
And tomorrow, I'm gonna listen
To that voice of reason inside my head
Telling me that we're no good
[Chorus]
But tonight I'm...

#1 top rated interpretation:i've been this exact situation for 3 years and i can completely relate.
he's engaging in a relationship or some sort of relation with a girl he really really cares about, probably even loves, but knows that there are some major limitations are are preventing them from being together.and as much as they may care about each other and want to be with each other, they know that at this present moment in time, that they just cant. and as much as it hurts him, he's just gonna embrace as much as he can with her tonight so that he can begin to move on with his life tomorrow.
its hard, especially when yall live so close to each other, and even though you care SO deeply for each other, sometimes you gotta love each other enough to let each other go because the pain isnt worth trying to keep this up or secretly making it work. sometimes you just gotta accept things as they are and appreciate the good times and hold onto those and try not to focus on the obscurities as much.
its possible. i've been there before. -
I think this song talks about a relationship in which there may be constant fighting and maybe a little heartbreak and dissapointment, but still they both love each other. He thinks they're better off aprart from one another, but deep inside he's maddly in love with her.
-
Tomorrow never came.
-
He loves a woman, but they aren’t good for each other. So after one more night of having sex he will leave in the morning.
-
I think it's about a guy who is in love With a girl, but the relationship is hard..and he wants to leave. But he can't. He just loves her too much to just, get up and leave. It'll work out for them and they'll have the happily ever after..

i am currently in the same situation. i keep on telling myself that tomorrow i could leave him because i can feel that we're no good for each other.
though i'm still waiting for that tomorrow when i could leave him completely not because i don't love him anymore, hell i still do love him very much, but because i believe this is the good thing to do for both of us to grow. -
I agree with the first interpretation. I have been in the same situation for nearly four years and I continued to try to make things work when all the guy wanted to do was send me and the other girl mixed signals. We verbally fought over him and after this song came out I literally called him and told him this was my song for him that it was time for someone to let go and I couldn't put myself through that anymore. I went through everything with him and in the end I had to end it. When I realized that the tomorrow I was hoping for with him would never come I did what was best for me.

The thing he wants to end the relationship with is the alcohol. He doesn't leave the girl, she leaves him. An alcoholic makes a decision every day to drink or not to drink, regardless of the regrets. Its a great song once you see the video. Otherwise the song seems to imply that he wants one more round of sex and then he is leaving. But that's not the case.
-
I think this couple may be seeing each other secretly, he knows he shouldn't, he will regret continuing the relationship but feels so strongly about her he always puts it off til tomorrow. Maybe they are married and are having an affair.
-
I think "tomorrow" never comes. He just keeps saying that he'll leave, but he never does because he still loves the girl too much. He knows they're terrible together, but he can't let go. If and when they do split, it'll be even harder & they would probably end up going back to one another in times of weakness. He'll give in each and every night until they've completely hit rock bottom.

if you love something let it go if it comes back its meant to be i mean if he is letting go could mean a million different things but i think if they wanna work it out they can and it can also work itself out i kinda agree with everyone on this one
-
what do you mean by it will work itself out? why it cant workout? nothing is impossible though , there should always be hope
-
no it wont ever work out between the two of them. if that significant someone loves you enough there won't be any working it out, it work itself out. apparently one of the people felt differently because, there are no boundaries when it comes to truely loving someone.
-
No it wont ever work out for the two of them.
-
I agree with the person ^^^^
He is in love with a woman and they cannot work because of certain issues, although, they are still in love and hopefully someday it will work out for the two of them.
